Baza Education projet..

BAZABAZA EDUCATION PROJECT

INFORMATIONS
Baza Education project is set up by a group of young Togolese, residing in the USA, and are concerned by the state of education in Togo and want to bring supports to the youth of Togo.
Togo, located in the Sub Sahara Africa, suffer from shortages of educators and teachers; and this is due to budget cuts, which subsequently lower quality in education, and especially in rural areas where on easily see students repeating the same class for years, and this phenomenon quite often results in school drop outs.  Parents have greatly contributed recently through the use of collective banks, where parents contribute to pay teachers’ salaries.
It is our belief that the development of any country resides in good education. Thus the Baza Education project makes us believe that we can shift the paradigm.

Our purpose
Baza Education is an after-school free tutoring project that helps orphaned students the support necessary for them to become contributive members of our world.
The Baza Education funds support tutors, who give unconditional time to the students.  With the funds, our project pays stipends to the tutors and promotes tutoring in the rural areas of Togo. Not only does this program end in its substance the high rate of unemployment but also, it contribute to higher quality of education in rural zones in Togo. Through the Baza Education, we extend and build social and cultural bridge, to help students in the US connect to those in Togo.  Our pen-pal program is an exchange program which pairs a student in Togo with one in in the US. This allows each student in the rural areas of Togo to make a friend half-way across the US.  The Baza Education program also raises money for the Togolese rural schools to provide pens, pencils, paper, and other basic school supplies.
